It was about 4am. She lay on his bed, half asleep as he talked to her. He begged her to talk to him about what had just happened.

"I'm trying to sleep. It's like 4 in the morning!" She mumbled, looking at the digital clock on his desk.

He sighed and sat down on the floor in front of his bed. "Is it gonna bother you if I go in the living room and lay down?" he asked.

She put her arms around his neck, her eyes half open. "Go rest liebe. Okay? We can talk in the mornin." She said kissing him goodnight. She laid back down as he walked into the living room. A few seconds later, a strange sound was coming fom the living room.

It was unfamiliar and was continuous. She stood up to investigate, only to find him in a ball, crying his heart out on the couch.

"Liebe, come here..." She said sitting next to him, putting her arms out.

He embraced her tightly, still crying and begged her to go back to sleep. "Go back to bed... Please.." he cried.

"I'd rather be in here comforting you than in there sleeping for me." She said yawning and rubbing his back softly.

He stood up and wiped his face. "I'll be right back." He said, going back to his room.

"J-j-jeremy?" She was almost in tears, praying that he WOULD come back.

He came back out with two blankets. "Here. Now you canbe in here if I get upset again.." He said handing her a blanket.

She stood to embrace him once more. "Lay down liebe.." She begged and prayed this was only a nightmare. She had never seen him cry like this.

They both laid down, on seperate couches, and fell asleep. She tried desperatly to hold his hand as they fell asleep on after the other. Her last thought before she passed out was:

"God, I'm praying to you to watch over this boy. Help him find the strengt in you to overcome what has happened. Please... I beg of you to keep him safe. He is the one other thing that gives my life purpose and makes me happy. I'm not trying to sound selfish, God, but I am praying for him, for us, for dad... for everyone to forgive our sin... I love him like no other, dear Lord... Please... Watch over him... In your name I pray... Amen."

She opened her eyes and kissed his delicate, and beautiful hands and then.... drifted slowly off to sleep...
